Donate to The Internet Archive
After depositing a sizable freelance check about an hour ago, something reminded me that the Internet Archive was a thing. So I went and donated.
After filling out my payment details and submitting, I was directed to a form asking Why did you donate today?
I have had a very good year in business building websites. The Internet Archive will preserve my work so that I can show my children and grandchildren websites I've built long after they've been replaced.
I hadn't actually thought about these implications until the words left my fingertips. That's kinda heavy...
