Current State of Life

I'm C. I have two biological sons (9 and 12). I make that distinction because the three of us recently moved in with my girlfriend of 18 months and her two children (10-year-old son and 16-year-old non-binary). A "blended family" doing "The Brady Bunch" thing, in the era of child YouTube and TikTok addiction.

We live in the midwest USA. I've been here my whole life, in the same city I grew up in. My sons go to the same elementary school that I did.

I like to write about what's on my mind (i.e. "journal"). I use Notion for most of my writing. This site runs on Ghost.

I've got a successful career, though I struggle with mild but regular periods of ADHD. I've got an affinity for kinky sex. I love playing guitar and piano.

I've played in several bands. Doom metal, stoner rock, post-rock, ambient. I haven't played in bands since I started selling my free time for money by way of freelancing.

A former psychonaut (weed, shrooms, LSD, salvia), these days I stick with a glass of bourbon or a craft beer. Maybe a hit off a vape pen occasionally.

I believe we're in a computer simulation.

I believe that everyone should be allowed to be who they want to be, believe what they want to believe, and that this should transcend any and all political boundary.

As a teenager, I had so many doubts about life. I see our kids facing these same doubts daily and am just doing my best to help them navigate them.
